11 Ways for 11 Days: The Best of the Rest

All the coordinated picture-taking was done by Shiloh. I appreciate her. And we had quite some fun in the time surrounding the taking of the "official photo". Here are a few of the extras, because we had a good time!

11 Ways for 11 Days

Several years ago there was an article in the Oregonian about a motivated young woman who wore the same dress 100 different ways for 100 days in order to raise awareness for orphans in poverty-ridden countries. (Her blog is here.) I was inspired and have kept the movement she started in mind. And I wanted to try it. Now, I didn't have a charity to fund for, nor did I commit so extensively. But here is my small attempt.
11 ways for 11 days.

Three Weeks Time

Other things happened. Plenty of other things. Some have slipped my mind and will reoccur down the line. Others are still present in my memory, but are to be shared at another time...

Movie Night. The staff played for us "Les Mis". It was followed by a discussion on the law vs. grace (which has been a prominent theme throughout our year).
Yearbook. It has been made. (And will be distributed at graduation.)
"Night of Remembrance". The Pause Families gathered together to reflect on the memories of this year through songs and skits and videos. Much laughter. Some tears (but for me, those will come later).
Hartland. The last trip was to a smaller camp (also on the mountain). We had been there once before, earlier in the year. (See "We are 'The Lumberjacks'".) Comparing the first to the last, the "beginning" to the "end", was an excellent marker of our growth.
Moving Out. For these past nine months we have lived as "Joshua students" in the "Joshua lodge". For the next three months we will be living as "summer staffers" in Main Camp. The most prominent result of this move was the packing of all our "worldly possessions" that we had made our rooms "ours". But deeper, underlying, and less spoken of is the transition that will be happening within the program of "Joshua". The academic year is over. We have been overflowed with learning and have been poured into like a flood. "Drinking out of a fire hose", is what they said. And now, we go apply it. This is going to be a different type of grand adventure.

An Informational Notice, Take Three

Well, this isn't how I had intended it to be.
I had grand plans of grand posts for this grand blog of these grand adventures.
And I had planned to have a better plan. (Or at least to have a better execution of it.)
Sometimes things don't work out like planned. Lots of times, actually.
And I'm thinking that is okay.

All that is said to preface the next post, of which I will abridge these last three-or-so weeks of Joshua and things that were left unposted.
The Israel posts are still being postponed. (There is quite a bit to share for those, and I am uncertain of how to do so most effectively.)

An Informational Notice, Response

That is, if I actually upload these new posts as I have intended to do.

An Informational Notice

The posts that continue hereafter (the next week or so) will be filling in on the events that occurred over the last little while as I finished out "part 1" of the Joshua Wilderness Institute.

A Quick Note of Joshua and Weeks and Moving Out and Visiting Home

Well.
It's been just a little while.
Since my last post, that is.
In view of days, not so much.
But in view of experiences and life lived and-- adventures...
Forever.

I would like to collaborate my thoughts.
(Which may or may not happen as I imagine.)
Then I would share them with you here.
Or tell you when I see you.
Summer break (and a trip to Oregon) is May 13-23.
